Christmas Has Come

From the Front Porch

Christmas has come.

Christmas has come.

All is quiet.
The shepherds have returned to the fields and flocks.
The Wise Men have slipped away.
Joseph and Mary have slipped out of the country to raise their child in peace.
The world waits for a Savior.
Whispers of the story of a child, a stable, and a gift from God.
The world waits for a Savior.

Whispers of the story of a child, a stable, and a gift from God.

Today’s Christmas.  Quiet

So many parallels with Today’s Christmas.
Christmas came. All is quiet.
Everyone has gone home.
Some wait in disappointment.
Some wait for the new year to begin.
Some wait for life to get easier.
Some quietly slip out of town to raise their children.
Some wait for a Savior but fail to recognize he is here.

The world waited for the revelation of Messiah

Unlike in Jesus’ time when the world waited for him to grow up and reveal himself.
He has already revealed himself to the world.
We can wait in hope(guarantee); that is Jesus. The thrill of hope!!
We no longer have to wait, Jesus has come!

Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
