The gift of the view from behind

From the front porch and beyond:

The view from behind was pretty remarkable. A lady with her adult daughter got out of a car and entered the restaurant.

The hair, shape of the shoulders. It made my husband smile. It made me smile.

We snapped a picture. It was a gift.

I walked over and spoke to the lady.

I explained about the gift her view from behind had given us.

Laughter and bright smiles were shared.

After a few minutes, my husband came by and spoke, only to find he had known them for years. They shared memories and smiles.

If not for the gift of view from behind, there might not have been laughter, or memories shared.

A gift from our Heavenly Father.

Our Heavenly Father has a sense of humor.

Sometimes, he even uses our view from behind to bring joy, to start a conversation.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
