Testify Word of Year 2022:

New Year, New Challenge: TESTIFY

John 21:19b, 24-25 “Follow me!” …This is the disciple which testifieth of these things and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Testify

I wonder what the Lord is doing in your life? Have you shared His work in your life with anyone? Have you dared to write it down so others can be encouraged in their struggle?

My bookshelves are full, my attic contains more, and I have given away probably hundreds of books. But, I am learning that the average person no longer reads more than about 500 words at a time. Therefore, I have a challenge for you! You write and tell us what the Lord is teaching, leading, showing, or giving you at this time. We can share it with others and you can remain anonymous. It doesn’t need to be a thesis, just a short (500 words) testimony of God’s amazing grace.

Testify, write a true account, and be a part of what the early disciples understood: We have to share what Jesus is doing!

Testify My Word

My word for the New Year: testify. We want you to be a part of our tapestry of grace.

Bear Witness

Testify: From the Greek martureo which means to bear witness, charge, give evidence of, honest report. It is an opportunity to put the Great Commission into practice. It is about being mature as a follow(er) of Christ who said, “Follow me.”

Happy New Year treading water friends!

About Yvonne Jones

I am at heart, a LIFEguard: "big" sister, mama, grandmother, aunt, friend, swimming coach, lifeguard trainer, and registered nurse. I am in the business of alleviating fear through education and lots of hand holding. As a swimming instructor, I have taught people of all ages to overcome fear of the water and I marvel as fear gives way to fearlessness, as panic turns to pure joy, as tears dissolve into giggles of glee, and pennies retrieved from the bottom of the abyss become trophies. As a nurse, I have been privileged to walk up to Heaven's gate as patients and family are welcomed home, witnessed the miracle of birth, helped mend broken hearts, and cared for the elderly as they wait. Scriptures number one admonition is "fear not." Question is HOW??? The Word becomes our swimming instructor and can help us learn to "tread water til Jesus comes." Something my students often thought I was going to make them do! So welcome to my pool! Jump in the cool water. Let it refresh your soul and feel the unseen hands of the Master Lifeguard lift you up and out of the deep water. Who knows, you just might even walk on water!

We would love to hear from you
