“And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.” Hebrews 13:16 (NLT)

Inspire others by doing good and sharing

The bible instructs us to do good for others. Of course, this doesn’t get us into heaven but this verse in Hebrews says it pleases God. I have been blessed to be on the receiving end countless times when others did something good for me. Some of the ways I was blessed, were small ways and others were in tremendous ways. Either way, it was a blessing and all of the “good” made an impact on me. It taught me to put others before myself and to share what I have, whether it is my time or something monetary, with others who need it.

JOY!

Doing good taught me about a three-letter word that is the icing on the cake when doing good things for others. Joy! Joy is one of the most delightful emotions, and we can experience joy anytime we do good things for other people. Paying for someone’s lunch in the drive-thru, helping someone clean up after a storm, covering someone’s work duty, paying someone’s water bill, sponsoring a family for Christmas, and the list could continue. We should never expect anything in return. Doing good comes back to you.

Share! You will receive

“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” Luke 6:38 (NLT)

So today, let the doing good inspire and motivate you with the joy it brings you.

About Susan Browder

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”  Hebrews 11:1 I grew up in a small town in Alabama called Boligee. I am a wife and a mom to two sons, Nick who is 24 and married to his sweet wife, Mallory, and Jacob who is 18.  My husband, Nicky, is a person of who I am so proud. Our lives changed forever on September 6, 2014 about 7:00 pm. Our son, Jacob, had an accident that would deeper our faith in God and challenge us in ways we never dreamed. My prayer is that our story will encourage others in their struggles with life altering experiences. My writing will be our testimonies but more than that it is about how we have a loving, caring God that carries us through the most difficult times of our lives.

We would love to hear from you
