Fear Not Daddy Holds Your Right Hand (#40)

Isaiah 41:13  For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, FEAR NOT, I will help thee.  (KJV)

As I have journeyed through this study of fear nots, I continue to be amazed at how the Lord graciously repeats over and over for us that we do not have to be afraid.  What is astounding is how much is in each little verse even when it repeats another verse.  Such a patient Father!

This verse is the picture of a Father holding the right hand of his child as they journey through life.  My daddy died when I was just eighteen years old and this little girl will tell you she misses holding his hand and having his guidance every single day.  My daddy loved boxing.  Every Friday night you would find him in front of the black and white television watching the Friday night fights.   Now I think I know why.

This verse alone is beautiful but don’t miss verses 11 & 12!

Isaiah 41:11-12

11 “Behold, all those who were incensed against you
Shall be ashamed and disgraced;
They shall be as nothing,
And those who strive with you shall perish.
12 You shall seek them and not find them—
Those who contended with you.
Those who war against you
Shall be as nothing,
As a nonexistent thing.

It reminds this daughter that Daddy (Abba Father) will deal with those who threaten his child!  Our Heavenly Father will handle the “bullies” of this world by holding my right hand with his left hand (His Right hand is free!  Remember Isaiah 41:10? God is Right Handed 02/01/2016).

Be careful who you pick on–this girl has a Big God and HE has her problem in HIS RIGHT HAND!  He is no Southpaw fighter and His right hand delivers the knock-out punch!  He is the undisputed Champion of the universe and I belong to Him.  I hope you do too! He loves adoption and you can join our family. (January 25, 2016 Fear Not # 37 Fear Not the Conspiracy)

About Yvonne Jones

I am at heart, a LIFEguard: "big" sister, mama, grandmother, aunt, friend, swimming coach, lifeguard trainer, and registered nurse. I am in the business of alleviating fear through education and lots of hand holding. As a swimming instructor, I have taught people of all ages to overcome fear of the water and I marvel as fear gives way to fearlessness, as panic turns to pure joy, as tears dissolve into giggles of glee, and pennies retrieved from the bottom of the abyss become trophies. As a nurse, I have been privileged to walk up to Heaven's gate as patients and family are welcomed home, witnessed the miracle of birth, helped mend broken hearts, and cared for the elderly as they wait. Scriptures number one admonition is "fear not." Question is HOW??? The Word becomes our swimming instructor and can help us learn to "tread water til Jesus comes." Something my students often thought I was going to make them do! So welcome to my pool! Jump in the cool water. Let it refresh your soul and feel the unseen hands of the Master Lifeguard lift you up and out of the deep water. Who knows, you just might even walk on water!
