GPS…WHERE AM I GOING?
Have you ever been on a trip that you were not sure if you know how to get there? Not even sure if you know where you are going? Talk about fear setting in…being lost. I am so thankful that I have a GPS in hand and ready to find my destination.
Before GPS?
What did we do before GPS? Some read maps, some followed others and some just wondered around until they found where they were going. As me and my husband were discussing what we did before GPS, I got to thinking about eternity. Have you ever thought about where you would spend eternity? How you were going to get there?
GPS for Heaven?
Now this is real fear because if you end up at the wrong spot, there is no turning back, no u-turn or recalculating from your final place. We can wander around lost for many years trying to figure out where we will go on our own knowledge. We can follow others lead to see where it takes them. But they could be wandering around by their own knowledge also and this could lead us in the wrong direction for eternity.
Heavenly GPS-God’s Perfect Salvation
I am so glad that I have a heavenly GPS….God’s Perfect Salvation. With Him at the throne, I know that I can find my eternal destination…Heaven. Now I don’t always listen to the either when it comes to finding my path. When this happens, I have to hear…recalculating: turn around you are going the wrong way. But I love how both get me back on track. The Lord is my GPS and He does not compare to the modern methods some may use to find their way. He is the one and only true God and is on His Throne watching over us. He sent His only Son, Jesus, to provide the way Home. He sends the Holy Spirit to guide us Home. He is my Perfect Salvation, my Redeemer and Father, that only wants what is best for me.
Jesus Provides the Best Global Positioning System GPS)
Do you know where you are going? Do you know God? Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior? Does the Holy Spirit dwell in you as your Guidance and Comforter?
Don’t wait until it is too late and you cannot recalculate. Don’t wait until it is too late to find the right the right path. Trust Him to day as Lord and Savior.
1 Corinthians 8:6 Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
John 14:16-17 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
