A Psalm and a Prayer

A Psalm and a Prayer for today

Good morning Father God, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit Counselor,

Today we come before your throne with our hearts bowed to you.  You are worthy of all praise. Glory and majesty are yours.  You have provided salvation for your people.  Day after day you call us to come to you.  We declare your glory among the nations and your marvelous deeds among all people.

We praise you for you are worthy of praise.  We ask you to help us, friend, counselor, Holy Spirit, to honor you today.

You are the God of all nations; all other gods are idols. Many nations have their gods but all are idols  but you made the heavens.  Splendor and majesty are always before you; strength and glory are in your sanctuary.

Jesus, we lift up our brothers and sisters that are in nations that do not allow freedom to worship you, the one and only true God.  Many are suffering at the hands the evil one.  We pray you will give them grace to endure as your Word promises.  I pray they can be strong and have courage to stand on your promises.  May their testimony bring you glory.  Jesus in John 17, your prayer as you were leaving to return to your Father, was that those who were in you would be “kept through your name that they may be as one as we (you and Father)  are one.” I pray that you would keep through your name those who are experiencing suffering because of their faith in you. Jesus you prayed that we should not be taken out of the world but that we would be kept from the evil one.  I trust in your promises for they are all “yes and amen.”  We believe and pray for your protection and deliverance from the evil one.

Give us strength, courage and grace for today.

We pray in Jesus name thanking you for our many, many blessings.
