A Psalm and a Prayer

Prayer Thoughts for today:

Father,

We all want to go our own way. We want the desires and plans in our minds and hearts to be yours. But that is not always your way. Your ways are higher than ours.  You know the end from beginning.  I pray you will help us as your children learn to trust your way is best.

When we have chaos in our lives, help us to recognize that it is the enemy.  Only you can bring us peace.  Only when we have peace is there a place to come together in unity.   Help us to remember that in unity there is strength.

I pray you will give us grace to surrender our plans to yours.  Help us to realize we all want the same thing, to build your kingdom of believers.  May we come to understand that when our hearts become so hard that we don’t listen to others we are not fulfilling your commands. Help us to see the bigger picture.

Thank you Father that there is a place for everyone at your table.  May we be like Moses when he cried out to you.  Exodus 33:15 “If Your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here.”

May we praise and honor you today with our thoughts, lips and our lives.

Amen

Ephesians 4:1

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
