Why Keep Treading? Psalm 66

Psalm 66:7  Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul.  (KJV)

Ahhh haaaa!  There it is.  The reason for this band of soul sisters to write.

We believe God has put us here for “such a time as this.”  These are perilous days.  Days of uncertainty.  The country, the world we grew up in no longer exists.  The economy is on the precipice of collapse;  our nation’s values are lost in the sea of political correctness; there is little regard for human life; Christians are facing more persecution than ever before.   This globe is in a mess.

But, if Jesus returns and we are “outta here” this wee blog will continue to remain online for at least three years (at least it is paid up through 2019) and our collective voices will continue  to “declare” all the Lord has done in our lives and all He has taught us.

We sense an urgency to “get ‘er done!”  Our directive is to share the lessons we learned the hard way, to pave a path for those who will follow us and to leave a blessing to those we love and for those God will direct to our fledgling endeavor.

We hope you sense the love we have for the LORD and for you.

It has been said that every Gideon Bible touches at least two hundred lives and brings seven persons to salvation.  So worth the $5.00 cost of each testament placed by these men and women of God all over the world in hotels, hospitals, doctors and dentist offices, and given to students and men and women in uniform.   Only eternity will reveal our statistics fully of the lives touched, changed, encouraged, and challenged.  We did not begin to make a big splash.  We started to stay afloat ourselves and maybe encourage just one other treading soul.

Thy Word Is A Lamp by Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith

Tell us your story.  Be a guest Treader.  Share your testimony.  Help another during a dark day and speak hope into their experience.  We would love to share you with the virtual world.  If you feel God’s leading to jump in the water and start treading email us.  Be advised though, we keep each other accountable because all read and approve each other’s posts and insure grammatical correctness and faithful adherence to God’s word.  They send mine back too for “editing.”

About Yvonne Jones

I am at heart, a LIFEguard: "big" sister, mama, grandmother, aunt, friend, swimming coach, lifeguard trainer, and registered nurse. I am in the business of alleviating fear through education and lots of hand holding. As a swimming instructor, I have taught people of all ages to overcome fear of the water and I marvel as fear gives way to fearlessness, as panic turns to pure joy, as tears dissolve into giggles of glee, and pennies retrieved from the bottom of the abyss become trophies. As a nurse, I have been privileged to walk up to Heaven's gate as patients and family are welcomed home, witnessed the miracle of birth, helped mend broken hearts, and cared for the elderly as they wait. Scriptures number one admonition is "fear not." Question is HOW??? The Word becomes our swimming instructor and can help us learn to "tread water til Jesus comes." Something my students often thought I was going to make them do! So welcome to my pool! Jump in the cool water. Let it refresh your soul and feel the unseen hands of the Master Lifeguard lift you up and out of the deep water. Who knows, you just might even walk on water!

Please keep treading!!! This blog blesses my soul with God’s word and His promises. As my “fears” are drifting out , I am now surfing the bigger waves of “the FEAR” or reverence of God. Never could surf ! ?
Roy is smiling on you as you continue his
mission to touch lives with messages from God!
    Love and support,
