A Look At The Potter

trust“A Look At The Potter “

Who was in control when Jeremiah went down to observe the potter’s work?  The potter or the clay?   Who had a plan or purpose?  The potter or the clay?
God, our Potter, has a plan!!
God, our Potter, has a purpose!!
God, our Potter, is in control!!

God has a definite purpose for each of us. He has an exact picture of our life hidden in his heart of love.  Ephesians 1:4-5 tells us that  “Before the foundations of the world were laid” God laid out a plan for each of us. He chose us to be holy and blameless in His sight. He predestined us or planned ahead for to be adopted as His sons and daughters through Jesus Christ, His Son“.  He did all this in His great love.

Some of us may be shaped into great men and women like Abraham, Moses, Joseph, Deborah, David, Daniel, and Esther, as  “vessels of faith.”  But, some of us are being shaped for more simple purposes like behind the scene vessels, servant hearts, intercessor, seekers of lost souls, but, still,we are “vessels of faith.”

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor (Timothy 2:20 KJV)   This doesn’t mean we are less important for his kingdom’s work.  Remember in the body how every part is vital and has great significance to make it work smoothly.  He allows lots of pressure and situations to make us into that usable vessel. We need to realize that if He has a specific purpose for anyone of us — the molding process will take longer and the turning of the wheel will be great in our life.

“Hath not the Potter the power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?” (Romans 9:21 KJV)

Let’s look at these tough trials, as our Father, the Potter, preparing us for something real special. In His heart, we are all special vessels whether we serve Him in the forefront or behind the scenes.

I want to leave you with an important question.

“Do you and I trust “the Potter” with our lives or the lives of our love ones“?

Love forever,

Tricia Cook

    Thanks, Trica
I so needed this this morning. Sometimes I feel used and thrown away, but I know my God has a purpose for every single moment in my life, weather it is being in the grinder of life daily or on the smooth easy days. I know my God will prevail and over come.

You are so right, Jeanette, we also feel used up sometimes but we are overcomers. We overcome by the Word of the Lamb and our testimony. You are such a blessing! You have a testimony. We all are feeling the oppression of today’s fallen world. Satan would love to pin us down. We refuse to listen to him. Thank you for encouraging us. Tricia always gives us something to think about. We will be praying for you to be encouraged daily.
