Fear Nots Review

Fear Nots in Scripture

As you read this list, read each aloud, saying:

“ I will Fear not (or NOT FEAR) because ___________ .”

Pay attention to how this infuses your spirit with doubt crushing faith.  Faith that walks on water even in the eye of the storm.

God is my shield
The Lord hears
The Great I AM is with me
God keeps His Word
God gives treasure
The Lord knows the future
The Lord is in control
The LORD handles my oppressors
The Lord speaks to me
The Lord is aware of problems I face
The Lord defeats my enemies
The Lord plans my future
The Lord goes with me
The Lord will not fail me
The battle is the Lord’s
Man is but dust
God wins
My God is the ONLY true god.
The Lord Conquers Death
The Lord redeems
I can trust God’s promises
God plus one equals a majority
God know my needs
He redeems my failure
He handles threats against me
He knows where I am and I know where He is
He has won the war
He disciplines me
He is my protector, husband, father
He overcomes my handicaps
He sees my mess

The LORD is bigger than all other gods that vie for my attention
He sends angels with good news for all people
He will see me through the challenges of life
He completes what He begins
He holds me in His hands and I am secure
My life is in His hands
He carries me through the valley
He gives peace, balance, strength, and favor
He is my hiding place
The Lord is on my side
God will vindicate me
God is for me
He chose me
God will come when I call
He is RIGHT HANDED
He holds my hand
HE IS ENOUGH
He know me by name
He will restore all that has been shattered and scattered
He knows me completely
He will NEVER abandon me
He is fully trustworthy
He has a plan and it is good
He removes my shame and reproach
He defeated hell
To get to me you gotta come past HIM
He will restore, redeem, rescue my situation
His timing is perfect
He will make me a portrait of grace
He works all things together for good for me
He sees Christ in me
He takes care of me
He kept His promise of salvation
He leaves NOTHING undone
I can pray in His authority
HE IS RISEN
He will not back down from His Word
He remembers me
God hears me
He honors faithfulness
He really loves me
His Spirit is with me
He will make me a blessing
He has my tomorrows
He will make everything known
He gives me life after death
He says I am valuable
He handles the present and the past
Jesus comes before I call out for help
He orchestrates life’s career changes
He is in the delays
He has given all He will ask me to give first
He knows the number of hairs on my head
The LORD is a LORD of peace, not worry
He wants me to spend time with HIM
He fixes impossible situations
He comes to wherever we are
He wants my worries and fears
He overcame death
He has faced all I will ever face
God is LOVE
There is nothing He is not aware of
He says I am more than enough
America is in His hands
The LORD is for me!
I KNOW HIM AND HE KNOWS ME- I am called by HIS name!

What Are You Afraid Of? by Jon Jorgenson

DON’T SKIP THIS!

That sums up why our LORD says FEAR NOT!  He has handled it ALL already.  There is only one fear He instructs us to have:  fear (AWE AND REVERENCE) the LORD thy God.  So let’s continue on and dig into what He has to say.  I will give you a bit of a sneak peak: fear of the Lord is vital to our survival and I need survival skills because this learning to walk on water requires tenacity.  While we keep treading, the sharks circle, the heat of day beats down, the cold, bone chilling nights are long, and the horizon is shrouded in fog giving me no point of reference, no light from the LIGHTHOUSE.  FAITH is all I have, a tiny almost microscopic faith and He calls this ENOUGH.  He will take our little and make it much.

So take a breath, put your head down, kick your feet…… start swimming and trust He will point us in the right direction…………we will help each other until we reach the shore.

About Yvonne Jones

I am at heart, a LIFEguard: "big" sister, mama, grandmother, aunt, friend, swimming coach, lifeguard trainer, and registered nurse. I am in the business of alleviating fear through education and lots of hand holding. As a swimming instructor, I have taught people of all ages to overcome fear of the water and I marvel as fear gives way to fearlessness, as panic turns to pure joy, as tears dissolve into giggles of glee, and pennies retrieved from the bottom of the abyss become trophies. As a nurse, I have been privileged to walk up to Heaven's gate as patients and family are welcomed home, witnessed the miracle of birth, helped mend broken hearts, and cared for the elderly as they wait. Scriptures number one admonition is "fear not." Question is HOW??? The Word becomes our swimming instructor and can help us learn to "tread water til Jesus comes." Something my students often thought I was going to make them do! So welcome to my pool! Jump in the cool water. Let it refresh your soul and feel the unseen hands of the Master Lifeguard lift you up and out of the deep water. Who knows, you just might even walk on water!

No words to describe how these words from God “live”, heal, comfort, direct, and save. I want everyone to read this today which will inspire them to go back to the beginning of the blog. Von , I can see a “Fear Not” book on the horizon! May God bless you with joy and peace . I know this has been hard, painful yet fulfilling work!
