John 14:27 Prayer of Thanksgiving

Many years ago I received a gift of literature that would forever change my life: A small book titled, THE BREATH OF LIFE by Ron DelBene.  This small book was on developing the habit of prayer; of praying like we breath……….unceasingly.  I have shared this “habit” of prayer (praise and petition) with many through Bible studies, loaning my book and giving the book as a gift.

As we draw this study of “fear nots” to a close, I want to leave you with just the words of our Savior.  This sums up all we have studied. I will word our breath prayer so we may keep the Master’s direction close until it is deep in our bones (souls), never to be stolen away again.

Thank you Father, I FEAR NOT!

Pray (breathe) this as you sit at a traffic light, stand in line at Wal-Mart, drive down the interstate, soak in a hot tub, load the dishwasher, fold the laundry, paint a room or other “mindless” activities.  Make these tasks no longer mindless activity, or times of worry and fret, but, endless intentional moments before God’s throne as we go through each day.  I promise if you will breathe this prayer you will experience the gift of tears as your heart becomes aware you have found the peace that passes understanding.  Jesus, our Spirit breathed fearless life.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.  I pray you received a blessing from the LORD and have laid down a fear or two along the way.

Treading on,

Yvonne

About Yvonne Jones

I am at heart, a LIFEguard: "big" sister, mama, grandmother, aunt, friend, swimming coach, lifeguard trainer, and registered nurse. I am in the business of alleviating fear through education and lots of hand holding. As a swimming instructor, I have taught people of all ages to overcome fear of the water and I marvel as fear gives way to fearlessness, as panic turns to pure joy, as tears dissolve into giggles of glee, and pennies retrieved from the bottom of the abyss become trophies. As a nurse, I have been privileged to walk up to Heaven's gate as patients and family are welcomed home, witnessed the miracle of birth, helped mend broken hearts, and cared for the elderly as they wait. Scriptures number one admonition is "fear not." Question is HOW??? The Word becomes our swimming instructor and can help us learn to "tread water til Jesus comes." Something my students often thought I was going to make them do! So welcome to my pool! Jump in the cool water. Let it refresh your soul and feel the unseen hands of the Master Lifeguard lift you up and out of the deep water. Who knows, you just might even walk on water!
